The HEX measures force and torque on all six axes, giving precise control over the force a tool applies. Its optical sensing principle is markedly more robust against sudden shocks than strain-gauge alternatives. In surface finishing it holds constant speed and force so the tool follows workpiece contours; in assembly it searches for position, detects parts and stops on collision. Two variants: HEX-E QC and the higher-torque HEX-H QC.
