Buy Robot Grippers: Finger, Vacuum, Magnetic
Electric grippers, vacuum grippers and robot hands from OnRobot, Agile Robots, Franka and MagicLab.
The right robot gripper depends mainly on the workpiece: its shape, weight, surface and material. Here are the grippers in our catalog, sorted by how they grip. Payloads come from manufacturer data and often depend on the type of grip.
Two-finger parallel grippers
- OnRobot 2FG7: 7 kg force fit, 11 kg form fit, 1 to 73 mm external grip range, 20 to 140 N. IP67 and ISO Class 5 cleanroom certified.
- OnRobot 2FG14: 14 kg force fit, 20 kg form fit, 40 to 280 N, IP67 for machining.
- OnRobot RG2: 2 kg force fit, 5 kg form fit, adjustable stroke up to 110 mm, so one tool covers many part sizes.
- OnRobot RG6: 6 kg force fit, 10 kg form fit, adjustable stroke up to 160 mm.
- Agile Robots Tekken D: 3 kg, 80 N, 80 mm stroke, ±0.05 mm. Position and force control, and the fingertips can take the VT10-G tactile sensor.
- Franka Hand: 730 g, connected directly through the flange with no external cabling. Built for Franka robot arms.
Three-finger grippers for round parts
- OnRobot 3FG15: up to 15 kg form fit, 4 to 152 mm external diameter. Centres the part automatically for placement in a machine chuck.
- OnRobot 3FG25: up to 25 kg form fit, 18 to 155 mm external diameter, up to 450 N, IP67.
Vacuum grippers
- OnRobot VGC10: compact at 0.814 kg, 6 kg with default attachments and up to 15 kg with customised ones, for tight spaces.
- OnRobot VG10: 10 kg rated, 15 kg maximum, four adjustable arms and two independent channels. Built-in electric pump, so no compressed air is needed.
- OnRobot VGP20: all-electric, 10 kg typical and 20 kg maximum, four channels and 48 L/min, also for porous cardboard.
- OnRobot VGP30: pneumatic with external compressed air, 30 kg on cardboard boxes and 440 L/min air flow.
Magnetic, adhesive and soft grippers
- OnRobot MG10: for ferromagnetic parts, magnetic force in 10 steps, up to 10 kg without pads parallel to the ground. Keeps its grip through a power loss or emergency stop.
- OnRobot Gecko: for flat, smooth or perforated parts, as SP1, SP3 and SP5 with 1, 3 or 5 kg. Leaves no marks and needs neither electricity nor air.
- OnRobot Soft Gripper: interchangeable silicone cups for delicate, irregular objects, up to 2.2 kg depending on shape and friction.
Robot hands
- Agile Hand: five fingers, 16 degrees of freedom, 1.5 kg, EtherCAT at 1 kHz, APIs for C++, Python and ROS.
- MagicHand S01: five fingers, 11 degrees of freedom, 650 g at most, 5 kg full-hand payload, tactile sensing at 0.1 N resolution.
Frequently asked questions
Finger or vacuum gripper: which is the better choice?
Vacuum suits smooth, flat surfaces and several parts in one grip. Fingers also hold where material or shape makes suction hard, such as open boxes. The OnRobot 2FGP20 combines both for palletizing.
What do force fit and form fit mean for payload?
In a force fit, only friction between finger and workpiece holds the part. In a form fit, the fingers enclose it, so the permitted load is higher. Use the figure that matches your grip when sizing the gripper.
Will the gripper fit my robot?
OnRobot states that its grippers work with all leading robot brands. The Franka Hand, on the other hand, is built for Franka arms. Also check the flange, the communication and the tool weight against the robot's payload.
